JOHN P. BURNS
John Burns has been an Orange County car accident and personal injury attorney since 1981. He has successfully represented hundreds of people injured in car accidents, train wrecks, airplane crashes, dog bites, by defective products and in other personal injury cases.
John has served as a temporary judge for the Orange County Superior Court. He is also a graduate of the Pepperdine Law School Civil Litigation mediator training program. In the year 2000, he was elected President of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.
In his spare time John spends time with his wife Donna. John and Donna have been married since 1974. For vacations John and Donna enjoy going to Hawaii where John enjoys body surfing and lying under his favorite palm tree.
CHRISTOPHER “CHRIS” FELLOWS
Chris Fellows has a law degree from McGeorge School of Law and is taking the California Bar Exam shortly. His undergraduate education was at San Francisco State University and he has an undergraduate degree in International Relations.
Chris is our lead paralegal and is in charge of interviewing prospective clients, as well as answering questions or resolving problems for clients. He also handles drafting and responding to legal discovery on cases, drafting and filing motions with the court and assisting Mr. Burns at trial.
Chris is married and has two children named, Joshua age 11 and Sophie age 10. He and his wife Tanya live in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Chris enjoys spending time with his family, biking and hiking in the mountains near Rancho Santa Margarita.
HEATHER H. HAZLETT
Heather Hazlett holds an American Bar Association accredited Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Irvine. She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, California.
Heather handles all of our office trust fund and other financial accounting and disbursement duties. She also assists in the filing of lawsuits for our office, as well as managing the sending, receiving and organizing of legal discovery documents.
Heather is married to Todd Hazlett and she and Todd live in San Juan Capistrano, California. She is a member of the Dana Point Outrigger Canoe Club racing organization and participates in races throughout Southern California. Heather is also a runner and competes in races for various charities.
Donna Burns is a retired TWA Flight Attendant who still loves to travel. She is our part time receptionist and file manager. She also assists with client notebooks and the filing of correspondence, court pleadings and case financial records.
Donna also writes a column for our law firm monthly newsletter, sharing information and photographs about our staff members, family and friends.

Todd Hazlett is settlement funds expediter and office courier. Todd works part time for our office while he is attending Saddleback Community College.
Todd is an Iraq war veteran and is active in the Explorer Boy Scouts in Orange County. He spends sixteen hours per month working with Explorer Scouts who wish to enter the service and trains them on basic military tasks such as military operations, leadership and discipline skills.
Todd’s goal is to finish college, obtain his teaching credentials and enter a career as a special education teacher.
